Thursday Sunshine

Today was beautiful…sunny with a little breeze…

My morning starter…

Work has been great. I just try to keep up with the changes. We were going to stop requiring appointments on Saturday (5/1), but now that’s been pushed back for 2 weeks.

My shifting project keeps making me happy…I’m already done with Grisham…so it’s on to the “H” section.

Felt pretty cute today…

Went grocery shopping after work and wandered around for an hour, hungry, but I didn’t buy too much crap to eat, so I call it good.

I originally went because I needed creamer for my coffee.

I have to be at work an hour earlier on Fridays and Saturdays, so I need to go to bed…

All Staff meeting in the morning, so I CANNOT be late. This will likely be my last chance to hear from our Library Director, as she is retiring in a few weeks.

(More Changes a’Coming)

Goodnight, y’all.

Oscar Sunday

Woke after a great night’s sleep, to fresh coffee and a turkey, fried egg, and cheese sammich, made by my love.

He is an excellent cook. I think it’s genetic, both of Matt’s daughters (Kelly & Megan) are incredible cooks as well.

The blossom on one of my succulents
Freshly washed hair – I’m seriously considering a haircut.

Watched the Oscar’s and I’m glad that John Baptiste and H.E.R. won.

Goodnight.

The Day After The Jab

Received my 2nd Covid-19 vaccination yesterday, and took today off work to recuperate.

I slept for more than 10 hours last night, but that’s not unusual for me, as I always sleep better/longer at Matt’s place.

Despite sleeping that long, I’ve felt tired and muscle achy today. I think some of that is from shifting the entire Mystery section, then starting on Adult Fiction, over the past 2 days.

Last night we got tacos at LA Picosita and this is what the moon looked like:

New camera phone goodness.
I think I took this one while Matt took a flash photo with his iPhone.

I’m full as a tick right now. We picked up Asian food at a local place in Lodi, Shangri La. Shared pan fried noodles, crab rangoon, and an unagi caterpillar roll. YUM! 😋

There are new neighbors moving in across the street. They haven’t unpacked yet but they hung this flag at the peak of their garage roof:

Originally a George Washington era battle flag, now represents xtian nationalism/xtian dominionism.

Well, yee-haw.

April 20, 2021.

Today, Derek Chauvin was found GUILTY of the murder of George Floyd.

Honestly, after every other LEO, accused of (less often, charged with) killing a black person, has gotten away with it, I was genuinely, truly surprised at the verdict.

I hope for more things to surprise me like that.

I was gifted this sweet beanie for the holiday today:

Tomorrow is another day…
