Social media break.

I’ve been on Facebook for a very long time. Since 2013? 2011? Something like that.

Recently, my Facebook use has gotten a bit excessive. As in, scrolling on Facebook has become an unacceptable time-suck in my life.

I am connected with far-flung family and friends through FB, as I have lived all over the country, and so do my friends and family, so I don’t plan to quit it completely, but I haven’t been on for over a week and the lack of daily scrolling sessions has not been in the least unbearable.

After this past week of total blackout, I’ll likely go back on sometime this weekend, but I will avail myself upon the scheduling software available to assist me in establishing/keeping limits on my use.

My Facebook habits have been causing issues in my most important personal relationship and I will never let a computer program get between me and real-life Human Interactions.

This I swear.

Some days, yanno?

Today was a good day at work. I call it a good day when there are no incident reports. I did have to ask a guy to leave (watching videos on his phone even after I informed him that he needed to use earbuds/headphones), but he left without a problem.

I was checking out Google earth on the new phone, and peeped on my own place. This is my front door. I live upstairs.

That’s my Merry up in the top, left window. And I put that sign up.

It’s been super breezy all day, and now it’s cold & windy enough to keep knocking out my wifi. It comes back on, but the interruptions are annoying.

Was clearing out old files (new phone, ya) and found this video, looking out my kitchen window while it rained, in March 2020…before CA shut down.

Rain through a dirty window…
My dinner…

Goodnight, y’all!

On the NEW phone…

After a trip to the AT&T store, and a new sim card, my new hotness is working beautifully.

The next time I get a new phone, I will go directly to a store and have them set it all up. I did that at Best Buy when I bought my last 2 phones, and they just switched everything for me.

I can do/learn to do most anything. I also know when I need to ask for assistance.

La Picosita. Best Taco Truck in Lodi

We went for tacos last night. Tacos Supreme Al Pastor. 🌮

Today, after we watched the closing arguments of the Derek Chauvin trial, we went to visit Matt’s friend, Robert’s place.

Robert has an unnamed little kitty who has been the “truck tire” cat, as she sits on the truck tire of the truck that is usually parked in the garage.

She needs a name.
She truly is sweet…
She’s waiting for her truck to come back.

Facebook memories reminded me that 2 years ago today, I said goodbye to my Hobbitses: Merry & Pippin.

My Bois

I find that I don’t feel sad, thinking about my babies, because we spent 12 stellar years together.

I loved them and they loved me and we had a dozen years of love.

They were my beautiful boys.

Have a great night…

Tech service = Being on hold

I’ve spent the majority of today trying to get my new phone set up.

Currently, my old phone cannot be used for phone calls, unless it’s an emergency.

Contrarywise, my new phone cannot be accessed at all until I get the SIM card unlocked.

I’ll take everything (including a new screen protector they can apply for me) to the AT&T store tomorrow to have them straighten it all out.

Have a good night!
