Later than usual

Woke up.

Had coffee.

Worked 8 hours.

Took a lovely HOT shower.

Tomorrow morning is my stellar coworker’s goodbye party before he transfers to a library branch across the county.

It’s also when I have to go to work an hour earlier…

Found an old, previously unknown photo of my Grandma, Dannie Mae Rader:

I was Grandma’s Baby long after this photo was taken.

Going to sleep now.

Goodnight.

And today…

Is turning into another good day…

Woke up to this GLORIOUS poppet…

Work was busy and I love that because not only does that mean that many folks are using the Library, but staying occupied makes the time fly by.

Today I ordered this fancy, new phone…it should arrive by the weekend, so I’ll get to try the new camera hotness in Woodbridge.

(Of course I ordered a couple new cases for it online, too).😉ðŸĪŠðŸĪĐðŸĪ“

Lucky me…I get to end the day in much the same way I started it…with THIS fluffy lover:

My Best Friend.

Goodnight, ya’ll!

Long day…

I worked at the smaller library on the other side of Vallejo (Springstowne WOOT!) today and, for many reasons, I’m wiped.

Side yard at SPR

Springstowne is a house that was converted to a library in 1956. It is the smallest branch in our county system.

Close up of the signpost…

I like working at SPR once in a while, but I must admit my preference for my JFK.

A day to rest…tonight, I mean…

I have a full, regular day of work happening here, but I am sleepy. I couldn’t fall asleep last night until nearly midnight, then woke up at 730.

See…I’m not a morning person…never have been.

Before I went back to school to become a librarian, I was a Bartender for a decade.

Now THAT was a great schedule for me!

The only thing that keeps me trying this morning shit is the fact that I LOVE my job.

One of the main things I get to do is Help People find the information they need right now.

Sometimes that’s the location of the latest Mystery, or help with research for a school assignment, often it’s assistance with printing or scanning, and most importantly, it can be directions to the restrooms.

I get to assist with these and SO MANY other informational needs every day and I LIVE for this shit!

My roomate, Angelina (age 10) created this.

So…here I am…ready for bed. Time to curl up with this lovely furbaby:

Goodnight!
